  1. Good, better, best. I’ll never let it rest. Until my good gets better and my better becomes my best!
Per Gordy and his Shark School for Goldfish; I must at all times activate my Positive Thinking. Personally and professionally I believe that my goals and the school goals are united. I must stay FOCUSED on simply working towards meeting the needs of not only my students but all the students on the campus. What would this look like? This would look like me teaching students in my class, mentoring students, or just positively interacting with some students in the hallways. I must say that I am truly excited about this school year and I am just as excited to have this opportunity to be a part of the G. W. Carver family at this time. Let’s Show Out!!!

  2. I believe this is going to be a very rewarding year for the teachers, students and staff. I plan to come out of the gate swinging, making sure my students and parents are aware of our expectations and passion for education. Through the use of social media (math department FB page), our department website, email, and face-to-face communication, I want to be an accessible, positive impact on our GWC community. They will know I am here to ensure success for ALL students in ALL content areas on our campus. To ensure this is my best year, I plan to not only be a resource, but I also plan to be a sponge, learning and growing from the knowledge and expertise of those around me.

It's going to be a GREAT year, and I am excited to have this opportunity!

  3. I look forward to making this year at GWC a very good year. My goal is to be prepared everyday and demonstrate academic excellence and positive behavior. I plan to provide learning activities to enhance student growth. I will strive to be a mentor, to assist staff/students when needed, and am committed to the district's goal of superior scholarship.

  4. What am I striving to be this year? I am striving to be a "shark" personally and professionally. I am striving for excellence every day. I believe that "there is no substitute for hard work." I believe in a shark school for goldfish. This year we can teach goldfish how to fish for food in shark world. I do know that there are all kinds of fish. If we plant the seed, the increase will be afforded if we just believe and remain positive in our thoughts and actions. We will change perspectives beginning with us.

  5. My goal this year is to be more involved with more school activities (during and after school). I plan on implementing CSCOPE to the fullest, but by tweaking it to fit my students learning styles when necessary.

  6. I expect to have a successful school year. My goal is to strive for excellence in whatever way possible. Meeting the needs of ALL students as well as keeping open communication with parents to ensure they, as well as students, know our (LISD) expectation of excellence is a priority. Not only will I strive to have a positive impact on students and adults, but I will also embrace what I can learn from others. A person never stops learning so in essence we are life long learners. I will positively interact with students, staff, and parents to reach the goal of academic success for ALL students.

  7. I am UBER excited about this school year and all of the potential that it possesses. My personal goal to ensure that this is my most progressive year includes: making sure that I serve my campus (students, parents, and colleagues) holistically, evoke effective relationships that build and strengthen (both adults and children), continue in my optimistic mindset, and focus on the true purpose, passion, and goal of GWC at all times.

  10. I am truly overjoyed with being a part of the GWC family. My role in helping GWC have the best year ever is that of service and support for every student, teacher, staff member and parent. I do realize that the goal and purpose of our school is much bigger than me. I know that I am occupying the "right seat" so now my focus is to fulfill the duties of that seat to the best of my ability and assist my GWC family in doing the same. We are a mighty fist preparing to strike a MIGHTY blow!

  11. I am going to read more this school year to see what other professional are doing and try to take the best practices and incorporate them into my teaching style. I am working on having a more personally relationship with my children in order to let them know that I truly care about them and want them to succeed this year and in the future. I will try to do my best in following the tap rubric and increase my scores.

  12. Well as this is my first year I have high expectations of myself. I want to be a positive teacher that is nothing but reinforcement for this kids that they can achieve greatness no matter their story. Everyone has challenges and must persevere and push through and when they come out on the other end they will be better, stronger, and have a lot more drive to go where they want.
